Seafood People expands into Chile with senior appointment.

Bergen, Norway, 8 January 2026: Seafood People has expanded its operations into Chile with the appointment of former IntraFish executive Marianne Gaedicke as Senior Advisor.

Gaedicke will be based in Chile and will oversee growth initiatives in the Chilean market, while also supporting the consultancy’s wider global projects.

She brings more than 26 years of experience across aquaculture, fisheries and international seafood trade. For the past 24 years, she served as General Manager of IntraFish Media Chile and as Key Account Manager for the Americas, with responsibility for commercial development and strategic operations across the Americas and Europe.

During her time at IntraFish, Gaedicke worked extensively on marketing strategy, international communications and long-term relationship building within the global seafood industry.

“I built deep, long-term relationships and industry friendships during my two decades with IntraFish Media,” said Gaedicke. “As that chapter came to a close, I was looking for a role that aligned naturally with my background and how I’ve approached my career. After many years in the seafood and aquaculture industries, Seafood People felt like the organization where my experience, relationships, and long-term industry knowledge could have the greatest impact.”

Seafood People Managing Director Thomas Bakke said the appointment reflects the firm’s intention to strengthen its presence in Chile.

“Chile’s seafood industry is dynamic and continues to evolve,” Bakke said. “While we have supported multiple recruitment and consulting assignments in the region, we saw a clear opportunity to deepen our presence with the right leadership on the ground. I am thrilled that Marianne has joined us to help lead this effort and look forward to this exciting next phase of growth for our firm.”
