Prices edge lower for week 19.

Norwegian salmon spot prices for week 19 are estimated at EUR 7.54 (USD 8.84) per kilo, down around EUR 0.09 (USD 0.11) week on week, as elevated supply continues to weigh on the market, analysts said. The same source projects an average price of around EUR 7.36 (USD 8.63) for the second quarter of 2026.

Week 17 export volumes rose 4% year on year to approximately 28,200 tonnes. Export value in EUR fell around 5% over the same period, reflecting spot prices running roughly 15% below year-ago levels.

European feed sales increased 5% year on year in March, with Norway accounting for most of the growth at 6%. Standing biomass in Europe was estimated at 2% above last year at the end of March. Global supply growth is expected to reach around 3% in 2026, with the pace of increase slowing against tougher comparisons from 2025, analysts said.

Growth conditions at sea remain supportive, with feed consumption data indicating stable biological performance heading into the summer months. Continued strength in European feed deliveries points to solid underlying production conditions, analysts added.
