Synnøve Helland appointed commercial director at Pure Salmon Technology

Pure Salmon Technology has appointed Synnøve Helland as its new commercial director, effective 1 June 2025, the company announced on Monday.

Helland currently serves as Chief Quality Officer at Pure Salmon Technology, where she has been responsible for the company’s global quality management system, sustainability strategy, compliance, HSE, Academy, and document control functions. She has been part of the strategic management team since 2023.

Helland joined Pure Salmon Technology in 2022 as Global Head of Quality and HSE. She previously spent more than 14 years at the Norwegian food research institute Nofima, where she held roles including Director of the Research Station for Sustainable Aquaculture at Sunndalsøra and Senior Research Scientist.

In a statement on LinkedIn, Helland said she looked forward to developing Pure Salmon Technology as a key technology provider for the benefit of the company’s customers and their main product, salmon.

“I am honoured by this opportunity entrusted me by Luke Kellgren-Parker and our owners,” she said. “Together with our competent colleagues, I look forward to developing Pure Salmon Technology as a key technology provider for the benefit of our customers, and their main product, the salmon.”

Pure Salmon Technology’s managing director, Luke Kellgren-Parker, said Helland brought extensive experience from across the aquaculture industry. “Very few have experienced the growth and development of the aquaculture industry like Synnøve,” he said on LinkedIn. “That is why we at Pure Salmon Technology are proud to have her experience positioned towards the market ready to serve the needs of farmers both in Norway and beyond.”
