SalMar named to Global 100 sustainability ranking.
Norwegian salmon farmer SalMar has been included in the Global 100 list of the world’s most sustainable companies, published in connection with the World Economic Forum in Davos.
The Global 100 ranking is compiled by analysis and media company Corporate Knights and assesses sustainability performance across all industries. In the 2026 edition, 8,229 companies were analysed, with the top 100 qualifying for inclusion.
SalMar said it was the highest-ranked Norwegian company on this year’s list and also ranked top globally within food and beverage production.
“The Global 100 ranking shows that targeted and systematic improvement work over time yields results,” said SalMar chief executive Frode Arntsen. He added that sustainability at SalMar is focused on operational performance across biology, feed, investment and technology, and that the recognition demonstrates the company’s ability to translate ambitions into concrete actions.
The Global 100 list has been published annually since 2005 and is regarded as a widely followed benchmark among investors, business leaders and policymakers.
