A truck filled with salmon disappeared from Marine Harvest’s cold storage facility at Gardermoen after midnight Saturday.
According to Norwegian newspaper Romerikes Blad, it was the second time this has happened to the company, Per Johansen Transport.
”The same thing happened a few years ago”, says Per Johansen, owner of the company.
Johansen is now calling for better security at the facility. His company transports fish from Herøy in Northern Norway to the flight terminal at Gardermoen Airport every day.
Johansen believes an Eastern European gang is responsible for the theft.
He told the newspaper that he has a GPS tracking device installed on the trailer, but this was disconnected Saturday evening.
The police received a message about the theft Sunday morning, and they are now looking for information that will help them solve the case.
The trailer’s registration number is BJ 5776.
