There were no fish in the cages.
Norwegian fish farmer Osland Havbruk has two closed cages from technology supplier FiiZK under delivery. These cages have suffered ‘unexpected damage’.
These are the first two cages of this model and size.
“We are currently working to prevent further damage to the cages and or to the site. There are no fish in the cages,” FiiZK said in an announcement.
Other operations and deliveries from FiiZK are running as normal.
FiiZK, well known for it’s closed fish farming cages, is expecting revenues of around EUR 40 million in 2022.
