Bolaks CEO retires after decades with the company

Bolaks chief executive Bjørg Mette Holmefjord Antonsen has retired after a full career at the company, according to a statement issued on Friday.

Antonsen has spent several decades at Bolaks in a range of roles and has led the company through a long period of operational and organisational development. The company described her as a key contributor to both Bolaks and the wider salmon farming industry.

Her retirement comes shortly after the Alsaker Group completed the acquisition of 100 percent ownership of Bolaks in December. Bolaks’ entire production is located in Bjørnafjorden on Norway’s west coast.

The transition to retirement had been planned for some time, the company said, and Antonsen remained in post through the marking of Bolaks’ 50th anniversary.
