Salmon Scotland video highlighting Inverlussa skipper passes 30,000 views.
Salmon Scotland’s latest Day in the Life video, featuring Inverlussa Marine Services workboat skipper John-Daniel MacMaster, has been viewed more than 30,000 times, according to Technical and Standards Manager Andrew Richardson.
The short film follows MacMaster during a day’s work in Orkney on one of Inverlussa’s hybrid vessels, which form part of the company’s investment in sustainable and technologically advanced workboats for the aquaculture industry.
MacMaster discusses the operational role of his vessel and crew, the challenges of the job, and the benefits of hybrid technology in day-to-day operations.
The Day in the Life series profiles workers across the Scottish salmon farming sector, aiming to give the public a closer look at the skills, technology, and care that underpin the UK’s largest food export.
Salmon Scotland said the series is intended to showcase the range of roles within aquaculture and the expertise of people working throughout the value chain.
