A pod of killer whales has been spotted chasing a seal through a salmon farm in Shetland.
The incident was captured on camera last week by a worker at the Scottish Sea Farms facility in the Ness of Setter off Shetland.
The killer whales, identified as the 27s pod, were in pursuit of the seal as they surfaced near Sam Jamieson’s boat within close proximity to the farm’s cages.
The 27s pod takes its name from the matriarch listed in the Scottish Killer Whale ID Catalogue.
Last year, a newborn orca calf was spotted accompanying its pod along the coast of Fraserburgh.
