Young’s Seafood has announced the appointment of John Jukes as Head of Technical at its Humberstone Road Cluster.
The UK’s largest fish company wrote in a press release on Monday that Jukes will take on responsibility for leading the site’s technical team.
With 27 years’ experience leading technical functions across food and drink manufacturing, Jukes joins Young’s from Samworth Brothers Limited where he was Head of Technical of their Walkers Deli and Sausage Co business in Leicester.
Jukes held senior technical roles in Icelandic Group (UK) and Coldwater Seafood (UK).

John has a deep understanding of the specific technical and operational needs of seafood and has a great reputation with our customers that will help develop this outstanding site and execute our long-term growth strategy.”
Jukes will report to directly to Scott Johnston, Group Technical Director for Young’s Seafood, with a dotted line in the Humberstone Rd Site Operations Director. His appointment will take effect on 4th March 2019.
