Endúr to merge subsidiaries Artec Aqua and VAQ.
Endúr is consolidating its aquaculture engineering operations by merging its wholly owned subsidiaries Artec Aqua and VAQ, with Artec Aqua as the surviving entity.
The new organisation will retain its dual-department structure, maintaining focus on both hybrid and recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS), while continuing operations in Ålesund and Asker.
Fredrik Langehaug will remain as chief executive of the combined company.
The merger is designed to streamline contracts, pricing frameworks, tenders and project evaluations, while harmonising systems such as ERP and PLM. Endúr said the aim is to create a more competitive, technology-agnostic “one-stop shop” for aquaculture customers, capable of delivering tailored solutions and long-term value.
“This merger marks an important milestone for both companies. By combining our expertise, capacity and resources, we position VAQ and Artec Aqua as a stronger and more competent partner for our customers, suppliers and employees,” said Langehaug.
Sondre Høidalen, chief executive of VAQ, added: “We are very excited about this merger and the opportunities it creates. By joining with Artec Aqua, we are building an even stronger platform to deliver value, innovation and sustainable growth.”
Endúr chief executive Jeppe Raaholt said the parent company fully supports the move. “We are confident the merged entity will be even better positioned to serve the aquaculture industry, with greater scale, innovation and a stronger market presence,” he said.
The merger is expected to be completed by the end of the fourth quarter. Until then, both companies will continue to operate independently while preparing for integration.
