Laxey hits first harvest on schedule.
Icelandic land-based farmer Laxey has completed its first harvest and brought a new processing facility into operation, meeting the timeline presented to investors three years ago.
The company said its first batch of eggs arrived in November 2023, fish were transferred to grow-out in November 2024, and the first harvest took place in November 2025. In 23 months from first eggs, Laxey produced Atlantic salmon of 4–5 kilograms, which the company says validates its biological and operational model.
Laxey plans to ramp up harvesting to steady state and targets production of around 5,000 tonnes in 2026.
