Cermaq: Employee injured in workplace accident at plant

A worker was taken to hospital following an industrial accident at a Cermaq facility in Bogen, Steigen, on Monday morning.

According to police, the individual suffered crush and laceration injuries to one hand and was transported to hospital in Bodø for treatment.

Police said officers attended the site and were carrying out investigations into the incident.

Cermaq, which is owned by Japanese seafood group Mitsubishi Corporation, operates salmon farming and processing activities across northern Norway, Chile and Canada.
