Icelandic salmon farmer Arnarlax has signed an agreement with seafood software provider Wisefish to implement Wisefish’s sales and logistics business solution.
The implementation comes as salmon farming in Iceland increases its use of digital systems to improve operational oversight and coordination. Wisefish said its platform is designed to provide visibility and automation across the value chain, from harvest and processing through logistics and sales, with the aim of improving coordination between operational and commercial teams.
“Implementing the Wisefish sales and logistics solution is an important step in further connecting our value chain,” said Linda Gunnlaugsdóttir, CSO at Arnarlax. “When farming and selling fresh salmon, efficiency and transparency are essential. Having real-time access to reliable operational data is critical for sales and logistics, and Wisefish stood out because it allows us to bring several processes together in one system, giving us clearer insight into farming and harvesting and a more coordinated operation in the fast-moving environment of sales.”
Yngvi Halldórsson, CEO of Wisefish, said: “We are very pleased that Arnarlax has chosen Wisefish as its business platform. This implementation highlights the growing role of integrated systems in supporting efficiency and data-driven decision-making in the Icelandic aquaculture sector. Their operational complexity and scale make this a strong fit, and we look forward to working closely with their team.”
Arnarlax is one of Iceland’s largest producers of farmed Atlantic salmon and is vertically integrated across hatchery, sea farming, harvesting, processing, and sales.
Wisefish provides business software for the seafood industry, supporting operations across farming, processing, sales, and traceability.
