The Newfoundland Aquaculture Industry Association (NAIA) has appointed Bradley George as executive director, effective May 11, 2026.

George has more than 20 years of experience in public affairs, strategic planning, and industry advocacy. His background includes work in government relations, board governance, and the management of member-based organisations.

NAIA president Sheldon George said the appointment comes as the province’s aquaculture sector builds on record production volumes reported in 2025 and is expected to continue expanding.

“The aquaculture industry is at the heart of Newfoundland and Labrador’s economic future,” said George. “I am passionate about the innovation happening in this sector and look forward to working with our members and partners so that NAIA can continue to be a strong, effective voice for such a modern and resilient industry.”

NAIA represents seafood farmers and suppliers in Newfoundland and Labrador and advocates for science-based aquaculture development and sector growth.
