Normex has signed an agreement with Aas Mekaniske Verksted to supply ozone systems for seven wellboats.
The contract covers vessels with build numbers 215 to 221. Deliveries will take place on a rolling basis, with the final system scheduled for handover on 2 February 2027.
Normex said the ozone systems will be used for disinfection of wells and piping systems onboard the vessels.
The company said the technology is designed to reduce the need for chemicals while supporting biosecurity and fish welfare requirements.
Managing director Stig Ove Johansen said the contract was an important win for the Ålesund-based company and reflected its capabilities in advanced ozone system development and delivery.
Hans Inge Aas, chief technical officer at Aas Mekaniske Verksted, said the systems would contribute to the development of modern wellboats with high standards for quality, operational reliability and fish welfare.
