Norwegian salmon farmer Lingalaks has appointed Renete Kaarvik as deputy chief executive officer, strengthening its management team as part of a long-term development strategy on the west coast of Norway.

In a statement on Thursday, Lingalaks said Kaarvik will take up the role in the spring. She will be responsible for group deliveries, internal operations, financial follow-up and coordination across the business, and will play a central role in further developing the company’s structure, governance and execution capability.

Lingalaks is headquartered in Norheimsund and is wholly owned by the Haugarvoll family. Erlend Haugarvoll is chief executive and chair of the board.

Kaarvik joins from the position of chief financial officer at Lifecare and has previously held senior roles in the aquaculture sector, including global finance officer at Grieg Seafood and positions at Marine Harvest, now Mowi. Her background also includes transaction advisory and audit work.

“We are very pleased to have Renete join the team,” said Haugarvoll. “She brings a strong combination of deep industry understanding, solid financial expertise and broad leadership experience. The appointment is an important step in the continued development of Lingalaks and a clear signal of our long-term commitment to building the company with strong execution capability.”

Kaarvik said Lingalaks is an attractive company with strong professional environments and a clear direction, adding that she looks forward to contributing to further development and to strengthening the link between strategy, finance and operational execution.
