The programme for AquaVision 2026 has been confirmed, with organisers saying tickets for the aquaculture conference are close to selling out ahead of the event in Stavanger, Norway, from June 8–10.
The 16th edition of the conference will focus on two themes: geopolitical developments affecting aquaculture and technological innovation across the sector.
Former US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is scheduled to deliver a keynote address on global geopolitical developments and their implications for industry.
Other speakers include Rem Korteweg, who will discuss trade, security and industrial policy, and Anu Bradford, who will address European regulation and food security.
Keyu Jin is due to speak on China’s role in global trade and demand, while former Chilean finance minister Ignacio Briones will discuss Latin America’s position in changing trade conditions.
The programme also includes investment and industry perspectives from Hiroaki Ishimoto, Sandro Coglitore and Steven Rafferty.
Suzanne Njeri is expected to address Africa’s role in aquaculture growth and food security.
Feed ingredient sourcing and raw material availability will also feature in the programme, with May-Helen Holme scheduled to speak on feed supply complexity.
The conference’s final day will focus on technology and innovation, including artificial intelligence and production systems. Speakers include Anders Gjendemsjø, Ole K. Sivertsen and Brian Nguyen.
Additional speakers include Matts Johansen, Kenneth Fredriksen, Sven Kolstø and Andi Xu.
“In a time defined by geopolitical uncertainty, rapid technological advancement and growing expectations around sustainability, AquaVision 2026 offers a unique opportunity to step back, gain perspective and engage in meaningful dialogue,” said Maarten Bijl.
