Folden Akva has taken delivery of the service vessel “Tord” from Moen Marin.

The vessel was handed over several weeks ago and is due to enter operation this week, according to a company statement.

“Tord” is equipped with a 130 cubic metre RSW cargo hold and will operate across Northern Norway supporting aquaculture customers. The vessel has a cruising speed of around 10 knots and will run with 24-hour manned operations.

Moen Marin said the vessel was originally designed as a bleeding boat before being further developed with Folden Akva into a multipurpose service vessel.

Folden Akva CEO Kristoffer Andreassen said the vessel would help strengthen the company’s service offering and operational flexibility.

“Tord” is the eighth vessel delivered by Moen Marin to Folden Akva.
