ELDI Aqua has secured the first commercial deployment of its BioSeize sludge management system through an agreement with Lerøy Sjøtroll, the western Norwegian farming division of Lerøy Seafood Group.

The system will be installed at Lerøy Sjøtroll’s Blom site and marks the transition of the BioSeize technology from pilot testing to commercial operation.

BioSeize was developed by ELDI Aqua in collaboration with Rotor Aqua and Lerøy Sjøtroll following an extended development and testing programme. According to the company, the system is designed to collect and handle sludge from sea-based salmon farming operations for potential further use, including fertiliser and biofuel production.

The delivery represents the first full-scale installation of the technology.

ELDI Aqua was established on 1 January 2026 through the consolidation of Mørenot Aquaculture, Vonin Aquaculture and Fiizk Protection under a single brand. The company employs around 510 people across 12 countries.
