Måsøval shareholders have formally elected former SalMar CFO Trond Tuvstein as chairman, replacing founder Lars Måsøval.
The appointment was approved at the company’s annual general meeting on 4 June, alongside the election of Synne Konstanse Måsøval as a new director and the re-election of Nina Santi, Ola Loe and deputy board member Martin Lein Staveli.
Lars Måsøval, Kari Skeidsvoll Moe and Roger Granheim stepped down from the board as previously announced.
The changes come ahead of chief executive Helge Kvalvik’s departure on 30 June. Heimstø, which controls around 70% of Måsøval’s shares and has proposed several of the board changes, is conducting a strategic review that could result in a sale of the company.
