Cermaq: Corporate Relations Director joins Resource Works board
Jennifer Woodland, corporate relations director at Cermaq Canada, has joined the board of British Columbia-based advocacy group Resource Works.
Woodland joined Cermaq following its acquisition of Grieg Seafood's Canadian operations last year, having previously served as managing director of Grieg Seafood British Columbia.
She has also held senior roles including chief executive of Nuu-chah-nulth Seafood, a First Nations-owned commercial fishing company, and chair of the Canadian Aquaculture Industry Alliance. She is currently serving a third term as chair of the BC Salmon Farmers Association.
Resource Works, a non-profit organisation that promotes natural resource industries in British Columbia, said Woodland's experience in aquaculture, Indigenous partnerships and rural development would strengthen its board.
"Canada has an enormous opportunity to lead the world in sustainable food production," Woodland said in a statement.
