Mowi harvested 150,000 tonnes of salmon in the second quarter of 2026, a record for the period and 13% above the 133,000 tonnes harvested in Q2 2025.

The Norwegian producer disclosed the figures on Oslo Børs. The result beat the company’s own guidance of 140,000 tonnes, issued alongside its Q1 2026 results.

Norway accounted for 85,000 tonnes, followed by Scotland at 26,500 tonnes and Chile at 17,500 tonnes. Canada, Ireland, the Faroes and Iceland’s Arctic Fish made up the balance.

Group operational EBIT reached approximately EUR 231 million (NOK 2,543 million), up 23% from EUR 189 million a year earlier, according to the disclosure.

Blended farming cost fell to EUR 5.21 per kg, down EUR 0.18 from EUR 5.39 in Q2 2025. Mowi said the reduction equates to EUR 24 million.

Canada delivered the strongest margin at EUR 2.05 per kg, ahead of Norway at EUR 1.85 and Scotland at EUR 1.80. Chile lagged at EUR 0.35.

Ireland and Iceland posted negative margins of EUR 0.15 and EUR 0.40 per kg respectively.

Consumer Products contributed EUR 29 million in operational EBIT, while the Feed division delivered operational EBITDA of EUR 16 million.

Net interest-bearing debt stood at approximately EUR 2,807 million at quarter-end, excluding IFRS 16 effects.

Mowi will publish its full Q2 2026 report on 18 August at 06:30 CET, when detailed segment figures and reconciliations become available.
