Salmon Evolution: signals stronger second half as Phase 2 ramps up
Salmon Evolution harvested 945 tonnes head-on-gutted in the second quarter of 2026, the company said in an Oslo Børs disclosure on 7 July.
The Norwegian land-based producer reported improving biological performance in Phase 1 and a successful start-up of its Phase 2 facility. Operations at Phase 2 began in late April.
Salmon Evolution completed two smolt releases at Phase 2 and is preparing a third. Design upgrades are working as planned, with clear improvements in water quality, the company said.
The facility sits at Indre Harøy on Norway’s west coast, which the company calls its global centre of excellence.
The company pointed to improved biomass growth in Phase 1. It said the full effect of recently implemented feed and operating protocols has yet to materialise.
Salmon Evolution expects these changes to lift harvest volumes and weights in the second half of 2026. The company said key prerequisites for stronger biomass growth are now in place.
Salmon Evolution uses a hybrid flow-through system that combines land-based and sea-based farming methods. The company trades on Oslo Børs under the ticker SALME.
