Norway exported 28,165 tonnes of fresh or chilled farmed salmon in week 29, up 15.4% from the same week last year, according to Statistics Norway.

Export volumes increased 7.8% from the previous week, while the average price edged up 0.1% to NOK 69.64 (€5.94) per kilogram. The price was 2.2% higher year on year.

Frozen salmon exports reached 838 tonnes, rising 66.6% week on week and 38.3% year on year. The average frozen export price was NOK 72.37 per kilogram, down 5.8% from a year earlier.

Statistics Norway publishes the figures weekly using customs declarations recorded when salmon crosses the Norwegian border.
