Proximar Seafood will hold an extraordinary general meeting on Monday 3 August at 13:00 CEST to approve resolutions needed for a contemplated convertible bond, the company said in an Oslo Børs disclosure.

The meeting follows Proximar’s 10 July announcement of a planned private placement of a new convertible bond and the start of a strategic review.

Proximar is a Norwegian land-based salmon farmer operating its first facility at the foot of Mount Fuji in Japan. The company inserted its first eggs in October 2022 and completed its first harvest on 30 September 2024.

It markets fresh Atlantic salmon under the Fuji Atlantic Salmon brand, launched in October 2024 with partner Marubeni Corporation. The facility uses groundwater near Mount Fuji and supplies same-day harvested fish close to a major consumer market.

Shareholders will decide on 3 August whether the convertible bond proceeds. The outcome will shape the financing behind Proximar’s strategic review.
